Brother Printer DCP7065DN Monochrome Laser Multi-Function Copier

The Brother DCP7065DN is a well designed, fast, and low cost all in one laser printer. When I bought it, I was looking for an all-in-one laser to replace my color all in one that was costing way too much for ink. I decided to go with a laser since i rarely if ever need color. My primary needs were copying documents - printing tax documents - coupons - directions - etc, and i wanted to ability a small stack of papers into the computer to eliminate having to store lots of paper documents in a filing cabinet. This brother fit the bill perfectly. The printing speed is more than fast enough, the auto sheet feed scanner works great. The printer can do duplex printing to save paper. It can also copy to documents and duplex them onto one paper. The auto sheet feeder for the scanner works good. Copying is surprisingly fast. I put a sheet on the flatbed and press copy and it scans immediately and starts printing seconds later. I bought the printer with plans to use it networked. I plugged in an Ethernet cable, and ran the driver install. It found the printer right away and installed the drivers. It works great. The final reason I choose this brother printer is because brother oem toner cartridges are relatively cheap compared to say HP. And cheaper aftermarket cartridges can be found for ever less. In using the printer for the last week, I have not had a single problem with it. The only thing I will mention of concern it's a bit taller than it appears in the photo. It's roughly a foot tall. Brother Printer Wireless Monochrome Printer, Dark Grey (HL2280DW)

Purchased this printer for our home. Two high school students doing online homework, they do not use textbooks any more. Wireless setup took a while (1 hour) to get working, but the documentation was clear. Able to print all wirelessly from both the laptop and desktop PC via the router with no issues. Photo copier works great as well. My son is also happy with the scanner, a requirement for high school and online classes these days. Overall very happy with the printer. The extra $50.00 is worth it for the copying and scanning. The printout are very clear at 300 dpi and "toner save mode" turned on. Brother Printer MFC7860DW Wireless Monochrome Printer with Scanner, Copier & Fax

Another reviewer said it was hard to get this working wireless with Mac Lion OSX but it was easy for me, this is what I did: 1) I turned on the printer (across the room from my computer not connect with any cable) then went to my computer. 2) Opened System Preferences, select Print & Scan, then click the plus (+) to add printer. 3) The Brother showed up in the list, presumable because it was broadcasting on my wireless network (did this out-of-the-box). Selected the Brother, my computer then told me it was downloading the driver from Apple. A minute later my computer had downloaded and installed the driver automagically, and the Brother showed up in my list of printers, I just successfully printed a test page and also verified the duplex printing works. I'm running Mac OS X 10.7.4 on my macbook pro, hope this review helps other users get it working. I'm giving this 5 stars for ease of setup, and good looks.

Just bought a 7860DW and wanted to respond to some concerns from a reviewer in 2011, especially the "quirk" where it was stated that the printer doesnt go to sleep in wireless. That is not my experience at all; it goes to sleep as it should in wireless mode. I have been more than pleased considering the price and the fact that it scans to pdf or jpeg in color if appropriate, has both platen and sheetfeeder, if you look in the manual the paper feed rollers are accessaible to clean. That is a big deal because eventually you will need to clean them, and many cheap priters I have had don't let you access all the feed rollers to clean them. Considering that I paid less than $200 for it, I feel you get a lot for your money. Yes, it is plastic, but you also didnt pay thousands of dollars for it. Several other older Brother printers and mfc's in my family and at work - they all seem to be good products. My first impression is 5 stars.

Brother Printer HL2230 Monochrome Printer

Recently purchased this Brother Laser printer after my really old HP desk jet finally wore out. Will never go back to desk jet. Laser super easy, super fast, quick and easy setup. The only glitch - the instructions tell you to put in the CD ROM for installation, but you don't need to. Just turn everything on and plug everything in and the mac asks you if you want to install the drivers. The whole thing box to printing takes 5 minutes. Can't beat the price. Perfect for home office.

I like this printer a lot. Bought it during a lightning deal just hoping it'd live up to the reviews and it has. Very compact footprint means I can put it just about anywhere. At the moment it's sitting on a book shelf. It prints very fast and with the toner save mode I find it to be a very economical way of printing online receipts and travel confirmations. Tray holds a lot of paper. Not a single jam yet. Well worth the price.

Brother HL-2270DW Compact Laser Printer with Wireless Networking and Duplex

I have never had any laser printer before and this is a my very first laser printer and I'm happy that I have bought this brand and model. There are reviews about bad wireless connection and too difficult to set up, oh well, those always come from people who do not read the instructions correctly or have limited computer knowledge skill (I'm sorry if I have offended any.) The package was very well packed and prepared. The printer built quality is solid with nice executed designs and buttons. The duplexer works like a dream. As soon as I have finished setting it up, I immediately print 45 double pages with ease, it takes a little bit longer than I expect though. if your primarily printing is black and white, this laser printer is for you. You just click buy it now and you will be a very happy person. The operation cost per page is very low, I bought the extra toner from Brothers and still I didn't have to use it yet after 1 month of moderate printing.

 I love this printer. I've only had it for a few weeks, but so far have no complaints. I read reviews which mentioned the noise it makes, but truly, here in our study the sound is NOT a problem--it's just a gentle whirr. It's true that the paper comes out a little curled, but SO WHAT?? It flattens out quickly under some books, if for some reason the prints needs to be perfectly flat. I love the speed, I love the two-sided copy feature, I love to put 250 sheets of paper in the tray, I love the small footprint, I love the bargain price (around $99 on Amazon) and I love not having to buy expensive ink cartridges every 2 weeks. This is a great printer.
