Brother Printer DCP7065DN Monochrome Laser Multi-Function Copier

The Brother DCP7065DN is a well designed, fast, and low cost all in one laser printer. When I bought it, I was looking for an all-in-one laser to replace my color all in one that was costing way too much for ink. I decided to go with a laser since i rarely if ever need color. My primary needs were copying documents - printing tax documents - coupons - directions - etc, and i wanted to ability a small stack of papers into the computer to eliminate having to store lots of paper documents in a filing cabinet. This brother fit the bill perfectly. The printing speed is more than fast enough, the auto sheet feed scanner works great. The printer can do duplex printing to save paper. It can also copy to documents and duplex them onto one paper. The auto sheet feeder for the scanner works good. Copying is surprisingly fast. I put a sheet on the flatbed and press copy and it scans immediately and starts printing seconds later. I bought the printer with plans to use it networked. I plugged in an Ethernet cable, and ran the driver install. It found the printer right away and installed the drivers. It works great. The final reason I choose this brother printer is because brother oem toner cartridges are relatively cheap compared to say HP. And cheaper aftermarket cartridges can be found for ever less. In using the printer for the last week, I have not had a single problem with it. The only thing I will mention of concern it's a bit taller than it appears in the photo. It's roughly a foot tall. Hewlett Packard 1102W Laserjet Wireless Printer

Based on previous reviews, I was on the fence buying this. We have a lot of HP products in our small office. We need to replace our 1018 printers that have been workhorses - this printer was approximately the same size. We didn't need bells and whistles. It fits the bill perfectly. I was concerned about the install based on other reviews and found it was soooo simple. You didn't need to install a disk, it has "smart" install. After setting it up with a USB port, it also asked if I wanted to set it up for wireless - I went ahead with that install and then tested it with my iPhone - it printed!!! Canon imageCLASS LBP6000 Compact Laser Printer

compact size, affordable price, fast printout, dust 'proof'. CONS: new drum and toner combo is $60. I love the small size. I thought that paper tray has to be open while printing and closed when not used. But then I discovered a 'hidden' feature. If the paper length adjuster is pushed in halfway then the front lid can be closed completely. This puts an end to dust settling on the papers while not printing. Printing is possible with lid closed. The printer unscrolls the hidden papers from the internal stash and spews it out through the slot in the front. Great for plugging in laptop and print out a map with driving instructions in a hurry. This is so much better than inkjet. Over 2000 pages per toner. Speed+. For those thinking about printer and scanner and copier combos the suggestion: CanoScan LiDE110 which can easily be placed in a drawer when not needed and can be operated with USB power.
